This is a joint venture with Rice University to promote the education of Rice students who want to become physicians. This program provides provisional admission to undergraduates of the University of Texas – Pan American. This is a program designed to assist students at the University of Houston for DeBakey High School for Health Professional Students. There are several opportunities for high school students to get ahead in their medical education by gaining acceptance into one of the following programs: Baylor 2 Medical Trackįour high school students will gain acceptance into the medical school upon completion of an undergraduate degree at Baylor University.
Those interested in a dual degree must note that the second part of the degree is earned at another partner school.Ĭertificates in specialized tracks can also be earned in fields such as genetics, medical school research, international health, care for the undeserved, geriatrics, and medical ethics. Dual degrees are offered so students can become experts in not only medicine, but another field such as public health, life sciences, or law.
Typically in other medical schools, the regular sciences courses take two years to complete but here they only last for 1.5 years – the remaining six months are spent customizing personal training skills.ĭegrees offered include the M.D., Ph.D., Doctor of Nursing Practice ( DNP), and the Master of Science (M.S.) degree.
